About the Journal
Autonomous Marine Systems Engineering Journal (AMSE Journal)
The AMSE Journal is an open-access, peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing the engineering, design, and practical application of autonomous marine systems. It serves as a multidisciplinary platform for researchers, engineers, and practitioners working at the intersection of naval architecture, robotics, control systems, communication technologies, and marine operations.
Current Status:
The journal is currently in its pre-launch phase. Submissions are not yet open. The editorial infrastructure is being established, and an international editorial board is being assembled. The first call for papers will be announced soon.
Scope and Topics:
The journal covers a broad range of topics, including but not limited to:
-
Vehicle Design & Naval Architecture
Hull-form optimization, hydrostatics, stability, resistance, propulsion, dynamics, hydrodynamics, structural analysis, materials, power storage, energy management, weight and balance, maneuverability, and control surface design. -
Guidance, Navigation & Control (GNC)
Path planning, trajectory optimization, collision avoidance (COLREGs), sensor fusion, navigation, fault-tolerant and resilient control, dynamic positioning, machine learning for perception and decision-making, multi-vehicle coordination, swarm control, obstacle detection, real-time state estimation, and human-machine interface (HMI). -
